Cat Blues Cures

Cats may become depressed or bored for many of the same reasons people do. A change in the family structure, a lack of stimulation or moving to a new home may negatively impact your feline companion.

Here are some tips to help your cat go though these challenging times.

Cat Grass

While some cats relish the great indoors, some become depressed from a lack of outdoor time. Cat grass is a great way to liven up your home with an outdoor element for your cat.

Windows

Sometimes, your cat may just want to see outside. Providing a resting place near a window for your cat to look outside is a great way to keep her entertained.

Toys

A sure way to cheer up your cat is to provide some toys for her to play with when you are home and away. She may get bored with the same toys, so be sure to add variety and rotate which toys are available weekly. Remember that a toy is even more fun when there is a human attached to it.

Me Time

Cats, like humans, simply need affection at times. Ensure your cat gets enough attention and affection daily. Spend time with your cat when you get home from work, talk to her while you are cooking dinner, allow her to sit on your lap or next to you - these are all effective ways of showing your cat the attention and affection she may be needing.
