Pia's Story
While I share a house with three rescued felines, I believe that it is they who have truly made this house into a home. We are a family.
A typical day begins with what I like to call "Meow Glee Club." Max, my orange tabby, starts practice with the ever-so-dainty three-legged Ms. Olive loyally hopping by his side. And there's Chauncy, the poster child for patience, calmly conducting it all from his window perch. My cats remind me that above everything else, a well-lived life can be as simple as finding someone you can count on to scratch the itch you can't reach.
There are so many things I adore about my feline friends. Their playful antics remind me to stop for cuddle time. Their sandpaper kisses alert me that the day has begun. And I love coming home to them napping in the day's last rays of sunshine. If these simple pleasures make me a "cat lady," well then perhaps I too should join the "Meow Glee Club."
My audition song? "I am a cat lady, hear me roar."
